Fiji: Five things to do on Denarau

Megan Singleton has notions for dynamic visitors to Denarau.

If flopping and flying is too dull for you, there are a couple of choices to amuse the dynamic – or greedy – on the Denarau Island in Fiji.

1. Island hopping

Beverages and lunch, including alcohol, is contained and you also will be home about 6pm.

2. Huge Bula Inflatable Waterpark

Everyone can be taken by the creature water slide, although you are supposed to be 85kg maximum. Amazing fun for families. See Megan’s picture website in the waterpark here.

3. Sunburn spa treatment at Sofitel

4. Dine in the marina

A week is quite a long time to dine in a resort, but the fantastic thing about Denarau is that not only can you eat at any given resort scattered along the seashore (and some can bill back to your room from various other resorts), but the marina is packaged with eateries including the Hard Rock Cafe, Lulu and Cardo’s, which are all good. You will probably discover it playing here when there is a game playing back home you want to see.

5. Eat Mexican in the Wyndham

Mamacita Mexican eatery at the Wyndham Resort is coming up two years of age. It only drift along the beachfront does not matter where you are staying and drop in for lunch.
